Frigyes Ákos Hazslinszky

After a stint as teacher in Debrecen and Sárospatak, and further studies in Vienna, he became professor of physics and mathematic at the Lutheran College in Eperjes (today Prešov) in 1846.

Ilona Zrínyi

In this way she also retained control over the vast Rákóczi estates, which included among them the castles of Regéc, Sárospatak, Makovica, and Munkács.

Johann Grueber

Though in poor health Grueber lived another 14 years as preacher and spiritual guide in the Jesuit schools of Trnava (Slovakia) and Sárospatak (Hungary) where he died in 1680.


András Fáy

He was born at Kohány (today Kochanovce, suburb of Sečovce) in the county of Zemplén, and was educated for the law at the Protestant college of Sárospatak.
