5 unusual facts about SEPECAT Jaguar


John W. Rosa

Rosa is a pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours in the A-7, A-10, the Hunter and Jaguar aircraft, F-16, F-117A, HH-60G and HC-130.

From 1980 to 1983, he served an exchange tour with the Royal Air Force as a pilot in Hunter and Jaguar aircraft at Royal Air Force Lossiemouth, Scotland.

M55 motorway

During construction of the M55, the Jaguar military aircraft from nearby Warton Aerodrome made a test landing on the motorway, in order to prove its capability to use makeshift runways in time of war.

Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta

In addition, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, RAF Typhoon, Harrier and Jaguar aircraft have displayed, along with RN Sea King and Chinook helicopters.In recent years it has also had The Royal Artillery parachute display team landing in the river dart.
