A Guinness World Record of 2,865 simultaneous geysers was set on October 17, 2010, in an event organized by Perfetti Van Melle at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, in Manila, Philippines.
Alongside is the once-largest mall in the country, SM Mall of Asia and the largest mall for a 15-year period, SM Megamall.

The Mall of Asia Complex is an alternative business and tourism district and the home of the SM Mall of Asia, SMX Convention Center (the largest private venue in Philippines), OneE-com Center and Mall of Asia Arena (one of the largest private sports venue in Philippines).
Dell International Services, a subsidiary of Dell, Inc. once occupied a 13,470.5-square meter area at the second floor of the north parking building of the mall.

The terminal also serves as a passenger port for tourists who will travel to SM's tourism estate, the Hamilo Coast, in Nasugbu, Batangas.
The event was hosted by the Philippines from January 5 to January 7 and January 12 & January 13, 2007 at The Esplanade at the newly completed SM Mall of Asia.

The first World Pyro Olympics took place in 2005 in The Esplanade at the back of then unfinished SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines from December 26 to December 30.
