Team owner Duane "Spyder-D" Hughes announced the suspension of operations in an emotional letter on the team's website, thanking the city of Charlotte and the businesses that helped his team.
The team is owned by Duane Hughes (better known as old-school rapper Spyder-D), who will also serve as the team's general manager and head coach.
