SAIPA built the Kia Pride in Iran under license using up to 85 percent local parts as the "SAIPA Pride" from 2001 to 2005.

Kia ended production of the Pride in 2000, although SAIPA of Iran has produced this model in various forms since 2001.
There was also an uncommonly ugly glazed panel van version of the Jyane, as well as the Baby-Brousse, a rustic little buggy in the style of a Citroën Méhari but with a metal body.

In December 2008, SAIPA unveiled its new model: the Tiba/Miniator.
SaiPa has produced seven players who have played in the NHL: Antti Aalto, Jussi Markkanen, Petteri Nokelainen, Petri Skriko, Jussi Timonen, Vesa Viitakoski and Niklas Bäckström.
He has a summer cottage in Lappeenranta, Finland, and is a fan of Lappeenranta-based first division football team Rakuunat and ice hockey team SaiPa.
