Dynastar is a winter sports company based in Sallanches, France.
Joseph Gelineau (Champ-sur-Layon, Maine-et-Loire, 31 October 1920 – Sallanches, 8 August 2008) was a French Catholic Jesuit priest and composer, mainly of modern Christian liturgical music.
She rode the world road race championship for Britain in 1980, when she was 18, and took the bronze medal behind the American Beth Heiden on a tough circuit at Sallanches, in the French Alps.
This cycling event attracts 2,000 riders on a 140-km route that starts from the valley town of Sallanches and includes three passes: Col de la Colombiere, Col des Aravis, and Col des Saisies.
The Battle of Méribel took place at Méribel, above Sallanches, Haute-Savoie, France, on 13 September 1793, when the forces of the Duchy of Savoy were defeated by the French Army.
