Jayne Bickerton (née Tunnicliffe born 23rd May 1967 in Saltaire, West Yorkshire, England) is an English actress.
The work done by Jonathan Silver in bringing Salts Mill back to life must have played a large part in Saltaire village becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 2001.
When Trackers was performed at Salt's Mill, Saltaire "He was deeply affected by the raw emotion of speaking to a northern audience in a northern voice in a classical play".
Bingley station opened on the first day, and remained the only intermediate station until Saltaire was built in 1856.
The creation of model company towns was particularly evident in Britain during the latter half of the nineteenth century with the creation of Saltaire (1851), Bournville, Port Sunlight, Creswell and New Earswick (1901) and coincided with the housing-reform movement, which emphasised the improvement of housing for the working class.
It is a busy commuter station both for passengers travelling to Leeds and Bradford and for staff in companies based in Salt's Mill, as well as serving tourists visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site at Saltaire.
