The miswak (miswaak, siwak, sewak, السواك) is a teeth cleaning twig made from a twig of the Salvadora persica tree (known as arak in Arabic).

It grows in particular association with Salvadora persica and Croton socotranus, but is also found with Jatropha unicostata, Pulicaria stephanocarpa, Dendrosicyos socotrana, and Adenium obesum.
