She is an associate professor at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and head of the Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in breast cancer.

The 2004 CECAFA Cup, officially called Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup due to sponsorship reasons, was the 28th edition of the tournament.
Al-Amoudi was described as an "expert in the art of deception" in a report by Newsweek journalists Mark Hosenball and Michael Isikoff, for expressing moderate, pro-American sympathies in his lobbying and public relations work with Americans, but then expressing support for Hamas and Hezbollah at an Islamist rally.
An earlier organization with the same name was founded in 1990 by Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi with the support of the Muslim Brotherhood.
