Danny Summers (born March 25, 1924 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Died - July 15, 1999) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman who had an 18 year pro career, 10 of which were in the AHL and enjoyed a 20-year NHL scouting career for the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and San Jose Sharks.
The school received considerable help in its formation from Father Mateo Sheedy, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic church, and its advisory board and eventual board of trustees included then-mayor of San Jose Ron Gonzales, Robert Caret, then-president of San Jose State, Tony Ridder, CEO of Knight Ridder, then headquartered in San Jose, and Greg Jamison, president of the San Jose Sharks hockey team.

He was inducted into the Archbishop Mitty High School Hall of Fame in January 2013 with General Manager and Vice President Doug Wilson of the San Jose Sharks giving his acceptance speech.
