Enrolling in college at Sarah Lawrence College, in 2006 at age 20 he took a year off from school and traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he experienced his first taste of DJing and dance music at the club Fugees 99 in the city's San Telmo neighborhood, which he describes as "really, really dark, really cheap, and they played basically reggaeton, dancehall, and West Coast hip-hop classics, like Death Row's greatest hits."
The neighborhood's poverty led the Jesuits to found a "Spiritual House" in the area, a charitable and educational mission referred to by San Pedro's indigent as "the Residence;" their 1767 suppression led to the mission's closure, however.

San Telmo became the most multicultural neighborhood in Buenos Aires, home to large communities of British, Galician, Italian and Russian-Argentines.

The Partido is also home to several other football teams including Arsenal de Sarandí of the Primera Division Argentina, and lower league teams San Telmo, Dock Sud and Victoriano Arenas.
He spent 20 years in Salta, a city in northwestern Argentina, and currently has a studio located in the neighborhood of San Telmo, Buenos Aires.
