At the age of 18, Bowman was briefly a professional rugby player for Saracens F.C., before suffering two shoulder dislocations in his first year and being asked to leave.
He made his debut for his former club, Bath off the bench on 31 October 2009 against Saracens.
Saracens Premiership Rugby Club, also known as Saracens F.C., are the latest major partner to lend their support to the charity having visited one of their projects in January 2009.
Chinnor's youth setup is widely thought of as one of the best in the country having produced top Premiership players such as Tom Varndell (Leicester Tigers), Tom Johnson (Exeter Chiefs), Dave Seymour (Saracens) and Paul Volley (Harlequins).

The first tour was undertaken in 1921 to London with victories over London Wasps and Streatham and the following season, Parkhurst and Saracens.
