4 unusual facts about Schulmädchen

Gert Wilden

However, he is perhaps best known for his music for erotic films in the 1970s, especially the Schoolgirl Report (Schulmädchen Report) series.

Schulmädchen

While the show's title translates to "school girls", and is a clear reference to Schulmädchen-Report, a series of soft core porn movies made in Germany in the 1970s, the show itself is a parody of imported American teen dramas such as the 1989 movie Heathers and television series Beverly Hills, 90210, which have long been popular in Germany.

The show follows the adventures of a group of pushy, wealthy teenage girls at the fictitious Franz Josef Strauss-Gymnasium in Munich.

Schulmädchen-Report

Published by Kindler Verlag (Munich) the same year, the book presented interviews with twelve teenage girls on their sexual lives.

Jutta Speidel

Jutta Speidel appeared in Schulmadchen Report 1 (1970), which was directed by Ernst Hofbauer and produced by Wolf C. Hartwig.

Sex report film

Producers Erwin C. Dietrich (particularly in the late 1960s) and Wolf C. Hartwig were active in the genre: the latter produced the Schulmädchen-Report films, which may be considered a sub-genre on their own.
