In addition to his work on Nine News and SEN 1116, he has also been a commentator during 92.9's Australian Football League (AFL) coverage in the late 1990s, and presented a talkback sports show with Scott Watters on 882 6PR in 2002.
However, when he was not selected in the 1992 premiership team, he was traded to Sydney as part of a deal which gave the Eagles the Number 1 draft pick, which they used to select Drew Banfield.

After retiring as a player, Watters spent time as a radio commentator with Perth radio station 6PR.
In November 2006 Gossage was appointed coach of the Subiaco Lions Colts (under 19) team taking over from Scott Watters who became coach of Subiaco's league team.
