He is known to horror film fans for the two horror movies he directed in the early 1970s - The Orgy of the Dead (aka The Hanging Woman) and Scream of the Demon Lover (aka Ivanna), which have become cult classics over the years.
Roger Corman later claimed he was disappointed with the final product and released it on a double bill with an Italian horror movie, Scream of the Demon Lover.
