The film is loosely based on the 1989 American film See No Evil, Hear No Evil and was later remade in Hindi as Pyare Mohan.
It is a remake of Tamil film, Aandipatti Arasampatti and inspired from the Hollywood movie See No Evil, Hear No Evil.
