1954 Isle of Man TT

At the Quarterbridge on lap 1 of the 1954 Senior TT, Derek Farrant riding for AJS crashes along with E. Houseley also riding an AJS motor-cycle.

Guthrie's Memorial

During the 1937 Isle of Man TT Races, Jimmie Guthrie won the Junior TT, but retired, on lap 5 of the 1937 Senior TT race, at The Cutting on the A18 Mountain Road section of the course.

Handley's Corner

The name derives from the Isle of Man TT race winner Wal Handley while riding a Rudge motor-cycle, crashed heavily during lap 4 of the 1932 Senior TT Race sustaining a back injury and subsequently retired from the race.

Quarterbridge Road

During the 1953 Senior TT, Les Graham the inaugural 1949 500cc World Champion riding a 500cc MV Agusta motor-cycle on lap 2 of the race lost control on the uneven surface of the Quarterbridge Road and crashed fatally.
