On November 15, 2011, Animoca raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a Series A round led by Intel Capital and IDG-Accel (which tapped its China Growth Fund III).

Series A round

A Series A round is the name typically given to a company's first significant round of venture funding in the Silicon Valley model of startup company formation.


Gengo

A $5.25 million Series A round led by Atomico and joined by 500 Startups ended in September 2011, followed by an early 2013 Series B investment of $12 million led by Intel Capital.
