In 1955 he made his first tour of the Far East and in December 1959 visited the Scandinavian countries, which included a concert given before the King of Sweden on the occasion of the award of the Nobel Prize in Medicine to Dr. Severo Ochoa.

José Antonio López Guerrero (JAL) (born Madrid, 1962) is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at the Department of Molecular Biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), a researcher and director of the Scientific Culture Department of the Molecular Biology Center Severo Ochoa (CBMSO ) and a collaborator in several scientific cultural programs on radio, television and in the press.
