The 16th & Mission Review is a quarterly literary anthology published by Seven7h Tangent Press which has featured poems and short stories by such notable and award-winning writers as Neeli Cherkovski, Ruth Weiss, and Sharon Doubiago.
The breadth of these studies is indicated by the essays in Bernard Schweizer's Approaches to the Anglo and American Female Epic, 1621-1982 (2006), which features studies of, among others, Lady Mary Wroth’s The Countesse of Montgomeries Urania, Mary Tighe’s Psyche, Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Aurora Leigh, Sharon Doubiago’s Hard Country, and Rebecca West’s Black Lamb and Grey Falcon.
Founded in New York City in 1975 by John Crawford, the press has published more than 100 titles by writers such as Meridel Le Sueur, Pablo Neruda, Thomas McGrath, Sharon Doubiago, and Joseph Bruchac.
