Hannes died on 22 July 1710, in the parish of St Anne's, Westminster, and was buried beside his wife at Shillingford, Berkshire, where there was a monument to his memory.
Shillingford is a village two miles (3 km) north-east of Bampton on the River Batherm in Mid Devon, close to the border with West Somerset.
From Shillingford it runs initially southwest and then south, taking in Bampton, Cove, Loxbeare and Withleigh.
He made three and 16 in a three-wicket loss, and though the team remained much the same for the fourth Test, Shillingford was replaced by Guyana batsman Faoud Bacchus.
