While on Tinian it was used on 13 training and practice missions and five combat missions to drop pumpkin bombs on industrial targets on Toyama, Ōgaki, Shimoda, Yokkaichi, and Nagoya.
In addition to Moctezuma, zemannite was also found in Vielsalm – a municipality in the Belgian province of Luxembourg and near Shimoda, Shizuoka, Japan.
Soon afterwards, it became the residence for a delegation of Russians under Vice-Admiral Euphimy Vasil'evich Putiatin, who was trapped in Shimoda at the end of 1854 when a tsunami caused by the Ansei-Tōkai earthquake destroyed his fleet.
The Tokyu Corporation began preliminary work on a train line connecting Itō Station, the terminal station of the Japan National Railway’s Itō Line, with Shimoda, at the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula in 1956.
