On her 20th birthday, on 8 January 1920, she became the second wife of Melbourne retail businessman Sidney Myer, who was originally named Simcha Baevski who arrived in Australia as a penniless Russian immigrant in 1899.
The most famous philanthropic funding was for the construction of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in the Kings Domain, Melbourne in 1958, which is named in his honour.

For the unemployed at Christmas, he financed a Christmas dinner for 10,000 people at the Royal Exhibition Building, including a gift for every child.
