The film score and soundtrack of Chandee were composed by Chinna and Nr Sankar who composed the Music for Simha, The soundtrack, consists of six tracks, with lyrics penned by Bhaskara Batla Ravi Kumar, and Ramajogayya Sastry and renowned poet Chandrabose.
His youngest brother, Kazi Dhaukal Simha Basnet, who also became the governor of Kumaun, was the first owner of the present Narayanhity Palace.

The film was a remake of the 1994 Tamil film Nattamai which starred Sarath Kumar and Kushboo in lead roles, but Simhadriya Simha became more successful than the original.
