Since then, her palmarès has been impressive: she won a gold medal at the junior world championships in 1997, has been 20 times Swiss champion, won the Finnish championships once and the Swedish championships nine times, has won the world cup five times, and won seven gold medals at European championships and a total of 17 gold medals at world championships.

Luder attended Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, Elstree then studied Economics and Economic History at University College London (BA) before working as a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen and later Grant Thornton.

Luder served as a Sheriff of the City of London for 2007–08 and was elected Lord Mayor on 29 September 2008, taking office in the "Silent Ceremony" on 7 November.
In 1959 he was introduced to Owen Luder by a colleague from the LCC and by the end of the year he was working for him in the Owen Luder Partnership for which he designed the Eros House.
