Bridgeman baronets

The Bridgeman Baronetcy, of Ridley in the County of Chester, was created on 12 November 1773 for Orlando Bridgeman, Member of Parliament for Horsham and younger son of the 1st Baronet, of the Great Lever creation.

John Copley

For over 50 years Copley has been the partner of John Hugh Chadwyck-Healey (born 1922), grandson of Charles Chadwyck-Healey, 1st Baronet.

Sir Robert Slingsby, 1st Baronet

At the Restoration, he was given his father's old office of Controller of the Navy, and made first and last of the Slingsby baronets of Newcells.

His eldest brother Guildford Slingsby was a politician of promise who was killed early in the English Civil War.

He entered the Navy and when only 22 was given his first command, the Eighth Lyon's Whelp, then in 1636 the Third Lyon's Whelp, and then the Expedition, in which in 1640 he transported arms from the Tower of London to Edinburgh.

He and his brother Walter were with Prince Rupert when he surrendered Bristol, then went to Brussels to join their brother Arthur, who in 1658 was created first of the Slingsby baronets of Bifrons.

Viscount Hanworth

Pollock was the fifth son of Mr George Pollock, fourth son of Sir Frederick Pollock (1st Baronet, of Hatton) (elder brother of Field Marshal Sir George Pollock, 1st Baronet, of The Khyber Pass).
