Upon her father's death, Pauline inherited the Prager Palais and the Lordships of Hohlstein and Nettkow.
Skala is the seat of a gmina, and has a late Baroque church (18th century), with a wooden bell tower (1765).
In 1903 it was bought by the Pieskowa Skała Society led by Adolf Dygasiński and with time turned over to the Polish state and meticulously restored.
