Eventually the band signed to Independent label AlphaMale Recordings, prepared for their follow-up album entitled Falling Down and releasing a single called Precious (which received regular air play on Pet Sounds, Today FM).

Owens took on most of the production and recording himself along with Adrian Sherwood (Nine Inch Nails, Sinéad O'Connor) and Alan Branch co-producing a number of tracks.

Gerry Owens

After spending some time in London and playing in a series of bands, he returned to Dublin to form Skindive, who were quickly signed by Chris Blackwell (founder of Island Records) to his Palm Pictures label.

Owens wrote, arranged, recorded and co-produced the Skindive album and gained considerable exposure and success worldwide with the band, including rave reviews in publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine, Boston Globe and Rock Sound and the music being featured on the Grammy Awards 2002, MTV Movie Awards 2002 and MTV Road Rules.
