On May 28, 2010 it was announced that Joel Ekelöf, Martin Lopez (Opeth, Amon Amarth), Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Testament, Sadus) and Kim Platbarzdis had initiated a project called Soen.
At the 1966 Asian Games at Bangkok, she won the gold medal in the women's singles, the gold medal in the women's doubles with Lita Liem, the bronze medal in the mixed doubles with Soen Houw Goto.
Soen Nakagawa was born as Motoi Nakagawa on March 19, 1907 in Keelung, Taiwan as the eldest of three boys: Matoi, Tamotsu and Sonow.
