Solo One was a TV police drama series screened in 1976, filmed and set in Emerald, about a local (fictional) policeman dealing with crime in Emerald, however it was aimed at a younger audience than most Australian TV police dramas.

In the 1930s it was the starting point for several long distance record flights, including a solo one to Cape Town by Amy Johnson in 1932, and also ones by her later-to-be husband Jim Mollison.
