The band first came together for a charity album for Survival International called Songs for Survival.
In 2008, Dennen, along with Jason Mraz, contributed the song "Long Road to Forgiveness" to the Survival International charity album Songs for Survival.
Team contributed the song "Templates from Home" to Bruce Parry's Survival International charity album, Songs for Survival.
Later that year, the band recorded the song "Don't Touch the Dusty Fruit" to the Survival International charity album, Songs for Survival, and the song "Oh, Mojave" was used in the Windows Vista commercial for the Mojave Experiment.
