In 2010 he released his seventh studio album "Distinto" featuring his first the number-one Billboard Hot Latin Song single "Guapa".
It was also a major success on the U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, peaking in the Top 5 at number 2 and number-one on the Tropical Songs chart where it was the best-performing track of the year.
His self-titled album Rubby Pérez spent two weeks on the Tropical chart, peaking at number fifteen, and his song "Enamorado de Ella" went to number twentynine on the Latin chart.
