Soundstage: Umphrey's McGee – Live is the third DVD release from progressive rock band Umphrey's McGee.
After the first season, it was announced that the show would be relocated to the CBS Broadcast Center for season two, moving into the Studio 42 soundstage where The Nate Berkus Show was taped prior to its cancellation.
It was recorded at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, Illinois on 24 June 2005 as part of the PBS concert series Soundstage.
Through an acquaintance with Mark Eldridge of Mobile Soundstage Engineering, he has piloted a one-of-a-kind street legal 2006 Dodge Charger show car converted from a retired NASCAR chassis for private and charity ride-along events around Hallett Motor Racing Circuit.
The show (first airing October 14, 2008), hosted by Matt Iseman, satirizes recent events in sports and the stations that cover them in similar fashion to sister network E! Entertainment Television's series The Soup (and is produced by the same crew as that show, and on the same soundstage).
Although set in Vietnam, the film was shot entirely on a soundstage in Boulogne, France.
The Soundstage Sessions was recorded in October 2007 before an intimate audience at WTTW's Grainger Studio in Chicago, with the set list containing 18 songs.
The show was taped Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California, on soundstage 25, the same stage where The Big Bang Theory is currently produced (as of 2011) and, according to a plaque on the outside stage wall at the audience entrance, where some scenes from the movie Blade Runner were filmed.
