Megalestris Hill, on Petermann Island in the Wilhelm Archipelago of Antarctica, is named after an obsolete generic name for the South Polar Skua.

Other birds recorded as breeding at the site in smaller numbers are Brown and South Polar Skuas, Kelp Gulls, Antarctic Terns, Wilson's Storm Petrels, Southern Giant Petrels and Snowy Sheathbills.
Birds nesting at the site include several thousand Snow Petrels as well as a few South Polar Skuas.
