Glenn G. Reese

He officiated Division I NCAA basketball for 15 years in the Southern Conference.

John Forslund

Nationally, Forslund has served as a play-by-play announcer for the ESPN National Hockey Night, NHL on Versus, and has called ACC and SEC basketball for Fox Sports Net.


Bob Thalman

He served as the head football coach at Hampden–Sydney College from 1956 to 1959 and at the Virginia Military Institute from 1971 to 1984, winning Southern Conference championships in 1974 and 1977, compiling a career college football record of 80–103–4.

East Tennessee State Buccaneers and Lady Buccaneers

The men's head coach has been Murry Bartow since 2003, and he has led the Bucs to win the 2004 Southern Conference championship, 2007 Atlantic Sun title, the 2009 Atlantic Sun Tournament championship, and the 2010 Atlantic Sun Tournament championship.

Jordan–Hare Stadium

The stadium is named for Ralph "Shug" Jordan, who has the most wins as head coach of the University's football team, and Cliff Hare, a member of Auburn's first football team as well as Dean of the Auburn University School of Chemistry and President of the Southern Conference.
