One of his younger sons from the second marriage was Spencer Perceval, later British Prime Minister.

A member of this family, Spencer Perceval, the seventh son of the 2nd Earl was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom when he was assassinated by John Bellingham in the lobby of the House of Commons, in 1812.


John Fane, 10th Earl of Westmorland
