Some of Whitefinger's recordings (Drunk For A Penny Dead For A Pound, Rockets Of Persistence) were engineered by Spiritualized / Julian Cope guitarist Tony 'Doggen' Foster.
Space rock band Spiritualized adopted a part of the story, "Ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space", to become one of their songs.
They recorded three songs, "Twilight", "Deeply", and "Elephant" in London, with producer Darren Allison (Spiritualized, The Divine Comedy) at the Red Bus studions in London.
In 2005, they contributed a "My Mind is Ramblin'" cover to the Sunday Nights: The Songs of Junior Kimbrough tribute compilation, which also features Iggy Pop & The Stooges and Spiritualized.
Reece later joined Spiritualized, but an internal dispute with Jason Pierce following the release of Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space (1997) resulted in Reece leaving to form Lupine Howl.
Doggen is presently playing lead guitar, piano and organ with Jason Pierce's Spiritualized.
Amongst others, Tracer AMC have played shows with Cinerama, Fugazi, Spiritualized, The Album Leaf, 65 Days of Static, June of 44, Windsor for the Derby, Oceansize, The Lapse, Six by Seven, and toe.
