Static in Transmission is the 8th studio album by the Canadian New Wave band Spoons.
The hoard consisted of: a silver skillet in which were a pair of silver-gilt trumpet brooches, one silver and five gold rings, one gold bracelet, two gold chains with wheel-shaped pendant, and a crescent attached, three silver spoons, another silver skillet, 280+ Roman denarii, and two first brass coins of Antoninus Pius.
The song was recorded in Sandhausen, Germany and was released on 15 October 2007, two weeks before the release of Spoons.
Shells were used as hammers, awls, celts and digging tools, and as bowls, dippers and spoons.
Her later career included playing Ellie May in Show Boat (Adelphi Theatre London 1971) in which she first performed her trademark "spoons" routine.
As an actress, appeared in Silver Spoons season4 episode 22 as Julie Ingber portrayed Annie, wife of Anthony Tortelli and daughter-in-law of his mother Carla, in the television sitcom Cheers and its short-lived spin-off The Tortellis (1987).
Many of the spoons bear pagan inscriptions to Faunus, a minor Roman god who had many characteristics in common with the Greek Pan.
