Zika was the son of a Zarma speaking traditional healer and fisherman, near the town of Ayorou on the Niger River.
However, some of the supporting characters - most notably the inlaws Živorad "Žika" Pavlović (played by Dragomir Bojanić Gidra) and Milan Todorović (played by Marko Todorović) - pretty much stole the show by displaying great comedic potential.
The band was formed in 1979, featuring Zoran Kostić "Cane" (vocals), who previously worked with Kopilad and Urbana Gerila, Srdan Marković "Đile" (bass), Darko Milojković (guitar) and Srđan Todorović "Žika" (drums).
"Bata thought that a French accordion would sound great there. Our friend Mita, a folker, knew to play some French stuff on the accordion. Žika was singing on a partly fictional French ... Then I wrote new lyrics, and Bata and Žika agreed it should be followed by march. And it sounds great, a great act on the concerts. We played on some festival in Toulouse in 1985, and they thought it was interesting."
