Saint-Girons-en-Béarn (formerly Saint-Girons), in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department
Stage 8 of the 2009 Tour de France finished in Saint-Girons, after travelling 176 km from Andorra la Vella.
First mentioned in the 12th century, it was eaten by the nobles of St-Girons in Ariège and King Louis VI of France also knew the cheese of the Pyrenees.
