Harold Stassen (1907–2001), American politician from Minnesota; governor of Minnesota 1939–43; perennial candidate for U.S. president
Stassen is also contributor to Sojourners Magazine and has frequently appeared in the media, including the Los Angeles Times and The O'Reilly Factor.
Stassen had moved to the state to take the presidency of the University of Pennsylvania and was determined to return to electoral politics.
