Le Gresley first stood for election in June 2010, in a by-election for one seat, against eight other candidates including former-Senator Stuart Syvret, and Deputy Geoff Southern.
In 2007, she was dismissed from her chairmanship of the Jersey Child Protection Committee by Senator Stuart Syvret, the Minister for Health and Social Services at the time.
In recent years, a former State's member Mr Stuart Syvret has argued in legal proceedings in England and Jersey that all members of the Jersey judiciary lack the appearance of independence and impartiality.
