Gus Lawson was born on April 3, 1882 in Norrköping, Sweden to Lars Gustaf Larsson (1847–c1940) and Emma Sofia Sundberg (1845–1888).
The End of America was adapted for the screen as a documentary by filmmakers Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern, best known for The Devil Came on Horseback and The Trials of Darryl Hunt.
When establishing his two most recent Danish records on the 500-m and 1500-m at the Calgary races 10–11 March 2007, Sundberg passed the five-time 1980 Olympic gold winner Eric Heiden on the Adelskalenderen.

Along with Cathrine Grage, Sundberg is the first Danish speedskater to reach international competition levels since Kurt Stille ended his career in 1964.
The firm was awarded the 2009 AIA Architecture Firm Award (as Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects) from the American Institute of Architects.
Sundberg had regular meetings with Rehman Malik, Pakistan's Minister of the Interior, when four Muslim Swedes, Mehdi Ghezali, Munir Awad, Safia Benaouda, and her two-year-old child, were captured and faced allegations that they had ties to terrorism.
