Sirivantha followed the other 5 Vishnu-Narayan films Veerappa Nayaka, Surya Vamsha, Simhadriya Simha, Jameendarru and Varsha.
The other versions of this film were in Telugu as Suryavamsam (1998) with Venkatesh and Meena as lead actors and in Hindi as Sooryavansham (1999) with Amitabh Bachchan and Soundarya in leading roles.

Though the film was a remake of Tamil film Suryavamsam (1997) directed by Vikraman, it went on to be a mega hit blockbuster film being more successful than the original.
Coincidentally, all the films in their combination became hits that includes Surya Vamsha, Simhadriya Simha Jamindaru, Varsha and Sirivantha.
