Je suis le seigneur du château (English: I'm the King of the Castle) is a 1989 French motion picture, directed by Régis Wargnier, loosely based on the novel I'm the King of the Castle by the English writer Susan Hill.
Both the 1989 television adaptation of Susan Hill's novel The Woman in Black and the 2012 film adaptation of the same used the island's causeway as the location for the fictional Nine Lives Causeway.
This was followed in quick succession by A Change for the Better, I'm the King of the Castle, The Albatross and other stories, Strange Meeting, The Bird of Night, A Bit of Singing and Dancing and In the Springtime of the Year, all written and published between 1968 and 1974.
