The idea dated back in 2004, when the 9.1-magnitude underwater earthquake caused a huge tsunami in Banda Aceh Indonesia, when amateur footage of the tragedy was broadcast to almost all broadcasting station and was much more popular than normal news coverage done by professional journalist.
