Droxford

Droxford is first recorded in history when the Manor of Drocenesforda (Droxford) was granted to the Prior and monks of St. Swithun, Winchester, by King Egbert in 826.

Eliza Gutch

Gutch was born on 15 July, St Swithin's Day, in Manthorpe, Lincolnshire as Eliza Hutchinson.

Itchen Stoke and Ovington

The revenues from the manor at Ovington supported Itchen's nuns until 1284 when it was sold to the monks of St. Swithun's Priory, Winchester Cathedral; on the Dissolution of the monasteries, it was transferred to the newly formed Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral.

Pyworthy
