Namma Nammalli directed by T. S. Nagabharana was the first of the serials she was featured in.
Initially she was not so interested in dance, so eventually she took theatre where she worked with T. S. Nagabharana who is an Indian film director, in the Kannada film industry.
She has been awarded as the Best playback singer from Karnataka government for the song ‘Myale kavkonda mungaramoda’ in the Kannada movie Chinnari Mutha directed by T. S. Nagabharana, and music direction by C.Ashwath.
