In 2007 the Taft Museum of Art, Cincinnati, Ohio presented the first major exhibition devoted to the most celebrated nineteenth-century American sculptor, "Hiram Powers: Genius in Marble".
The museum's collections include European old master paintings, with works by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Thomas Gainsborough, Frans Hals, Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, and Adriaen van Ostade, among others, and 19th-century American paintings, including the well known murals by Robert Duncanson.

Baum completed construction about 1820, the building, once lived in by Nicholas Longworth (the first) and David Sinton is now the Taft Museum.
