2007 IAFL season

During the course of the regular season, two non-league games were played against foreign opposition, with CMS College Stags beating the Tallaght Outlaws 67-0 and, in the Claddagh Classic on June 2, the Team USA All-Stars beat the Carrickfergus Knights 26-0.

The hospital was incorporated in 1998 into Tallaght Hospital and moved to Tallaght, although the original building continues to serve as a respite home.

Swords Castle

It appears that the Castle was occupied for the next hundred years by successive Archbishops of Dublin until Archbishop Alexander de Bicknor, who built a new Archiepiscopal palace at Tallaght in 1324.

Swords, Dublin

The Archbishop abandoned Swords once a new palace was built at Tallaght in 1324 - a move no doubt encouraged by damage sustained during Bruce's campaign of 1317.

William Howard Russell

Sir William Howard Russell CVO (28 March 1820 – 11 February 1907) was born in Tallaght, Co. Dublin. He was a British-Irish reporter with The Times, and is considered to have been one of the first modern war correspondents, after he spent 22 months covering the Crimean War including the Charge of the Light Brigade.
